Northern Lights Chase 2018
February 2018 (Exact dates to be confirmed)

Mudrut’s Northern Lights Chase is an established winter Arctic experience, and one of our most popular routes. The route takes a small group through Denmark and Sweden, up to the Arctic Circle to arrive at Nordkapp; famous for being the northernmost point in Europe. Along the way, we drive through stunning snowscapes, enjoy camping at the Polar Circle and stay at Honningsvåg (Norway’s northernmost city). We return via Finland, stopping at Kiruna, home of the Ice-Hotel (with dog-sledging and snow-mobiling for the adventurous), Along the Baltic Coast, we commune with the Swedish gods of Axe-making at Gränsfors Brux. Throughout the trip, we keep one eye on the skies for a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis as it blazes high above us.

The Northern Lights Chase is a tough, but rewarding 6000Km trip combining stays in cabins, hotels and camping at sub-zero temperatures on an odyssey through Scandinavia. We recommend 1-3 people to your own vehicle. It is important that you use a 4x4 vehicle, but it doesn’t have to be a Land Rover Defender. The nature of the terrain is suitable for any 4x4 vehicles and drivers of all ability. The route in the snowy parts of Northern Europe is challenging, but our experienced guides are there to help you at every step of the way.

Mudrut’s experience in this area is unrivaled and you can be assured of an experience of a lifetime. So come and join us on this fantastic trip.
